A Christmas Poem
In Memory Of Brian Thomas

Christmas Is
A Time To Remember

~ With Love To Corkey ~

A few years ago a very dear friend of mine unexpectedly

lost her son. The Christmas following that fateful

day, I wrote and gave a poem to her.

With her permission, I now share the poem

with all mothers who have lost a child

God Bless You All!

Christmas Is A Time To Remember

Christmas is a Time to remember.
As I cuddle up close to the warmth of the embers,
My thoughts are embraced with memories of you.
The Christmases we shared were only too few.

From the time you were a tiny boy,
You filled each Christmas with happiness and joy.
Then without a warning, you were taken away,
My heart will be pining this Christmas day.

My eyes catch a glimpse of the nativity
Placed on the mantle for all to see.
A mother is smiling at the birth of her son,
Not a hint in the air of the tragedy to come.

A happy young mother, a devoted wife,
Her child, as mine, was the light of her life!
He too from her was taken away,
Now He grants for you a Kingdom in which to stay.

A child of God, my young son so tender,
Christmas is truly a time to remember!
